A Couple of Good Stories

There are times when our members have to step outside the normal activities at the gallery to serve the wonderful tourists who travel through Port Augusta. On Saturday Anne met a woman who wanted to purchase a pastel but was reluctant to take a framed piece along for the rest of the family journey in the caravan. By Sunday morning Georgie had contacted the woman and arranged for the art piece to be   transferred out of the frame,  blanketed snuggly between 2 sheets of paper,  and placed into a postal cylinder. It was picked up at the gallery at 10am and is now on it's way around Australia. Big smiles all round.   On Tuesday Georgie was putting the gallery bin out when she noticed a group of people looking at the railway station and mural. She asked if they would like to look through the gallery. Half an our later they had purchased all of Morgan's Frozen Chrysanthemum pieces (including cushion). There was even some light hearted argy-bargy about who saw the large piece
