February 2025

Well we are off to a great start in this our 60th Year.

Our Current FRINGE exhibition " Creative Selfies" is an eclectic mix providing an entertaining viewing experience.

We have received a grant to continue our Family Activity Days.

The First Activity Day was a success and we look forward to more during the year on every 3rd Saturday from 10 -12.

Although these are catering for all ages they are engaging for adults as well so feel free to attend.

Welcome to new member Jen Cleary. You can find her lovely bags at The Platform

Lynne Ward has brought in some new jewellery pieces as well.

We particularly commend these artisans on the quality and presentation of their work as we strive to keep all work presented at The Platform to a high standard.

As we near the May exhibition we ask all artists to do their own stock take and please remove any pieces, that have been at the gallery for a long period of time or removed to the store room, and ensure that new pieces for the exhibition are presented well.

Mayor Linley Shine has kindly agreed to open the exhibition on Friday 2nd May.

Post card invitations are available at the gallery for distribution.

We have 2 new signs  that are designed to go near the cafe and on the hill with arrows pointing accordingly > <

The ropes have already been tampered with so suggest a double bow to hinder nimble fingers .

We are Promoting FRIDAYS as artists' days.
Everyone is welcome to attend on any Friday, just bring along a project, grab a coffee or lunch and join in.

Photographer's Theme this month is "Golden Ratio".
