Adelaide Chamber Musicians hit the road and landed at The Platform and Yarta Purtli on Saturday.

What a treat it was. The excellent acoustics of our gallery demonstrates its versatility as a place to showcase a range of arts. 

The musicians were delighted to be able to perform in a vibrant arts' space.

Meanwhile over at Yarta Purtli  the Fibrespace exhibition provided a backdrop to performances. We have several of our members exhibiting their work so make sure you pop in and have a look before the end of the month.

 






At the AGM it was decided to have a YOUTH membership for people under 18 with the idea of encouraging young people to experience everything that goes with being a member of a group and exhibiting their work. This is only $10. People won't know about it unless we let them know so I encourage everyone to spread the word.



Membership is due by the end of the month, thank you to everyone who has renewed, welcome to new member Leane McGill.

A Brush With art pieces are due in by the Meeting on August 27th.

 The May activities were well received, thanks to Anne Kenny, Gayle Naughton and Annette Kinnear also Anne and Beth at the desk, it was a busy morning                                                               Congratulations on this sale Gayle.  The Photographers enjoyed a lovely morning taking pics at the AALBG followed by coffee. They are also planning an exhibition of their B&W pics around September. Just a reminder that Management group needs to know of all activities that are taking place in the gallery. We want people to enjoy using the space but unauthorised use is not permitted. This is a requirement of our lease agreement and insurance provider. Security Camera doing its job over night.

Meet Nicola Butler who has joined the group and will be working often at the gallery. Nicola is the recipient of a personal development award from Country Arts SA and will acquit her grant by placing it in Curdnatta's bank account and using it to.... rent gallery space to work towards an exhibition in 2019 access the knowledge and mentorship of our members  attend workshops Please make Nicola feel welcome and if you would like to work at the gallery on other days of the week; you will have some company. Our Bus trip to see the Impressionists is going ahead on Saturday June 30 We will leave at 7am and return at 4.30 Guided tours will be provided. Cost is $23 for Gallery members and $43 for our friends who are interested.  Please Pay  by cash at the gallery or Direct deposit into our bank account.   The come and try days have been very successful and Lynda's beading morning was no exception.  Also Georgie's Pastel morning. Two new exhibitions this month featuring Lisa Wood and her popular limestone sculptures as well as Fibrespace Textile Artists.
