A quiet month overall with a few highlights.

Family activity day is always FUN..


 Pichi Richi Trains have only been running about once a month from Port Augusta but it is always a busy time on those mornings.


Quite a few return visitors to the gallery recently with several comments about The Platform being one of the best galleries they have visited with a great variety of different artworks.

 The May activities were well received, thanks to Anne Kenny, Gayle Naughton and Annette Kinnear also Anne and Beth at the desk, it was a busy morning                                                               Congratulations on this sale Gayle.  The Photographers enjoyed a lovely morning taking pics at the AALBG followed by coffee. They are also planning an exhibition of their B&W pics around September. Just a reminder that Management group needs to know of all activities that are taking place in the gallery. We want people to enjoy using the space but unauthorised use is not permitted. This is a requirement of our lease agreement and insurance provider. Security Camera doing its job over night.

Jumping into 2024

 Wow we hit the year running with The Floor being renovated and everyone helping with the BIG move back setting everything up again. We have a slick pared back look for 2024. This was followed by THE FRINGE set up.  We have about 40 participants in UNDISCOVERED with an eclectic range of arts and crafts from all ages. Congratulations to all. On February 15th we held our first Family Friendly Art Morning. These will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each Month. Time table is at the website. https://curdnatta.wixsite.com/website In February we celebrate our 59th Birthday and now we gear up for our 60th in 2025. The BIG focus for our 60th will be the  MAY EXHIBITION  This is a return to an old tradition where all members participate and we celebrate the diversity of our members. We have 12 months to prepare so no excuses :-D

Nearing The End of 2023

 We congratulate Lucy Waterworth and Alexia Clarke the 2023 Recipients of the Melva Waterman Award. There has been a flurry of activity as both Port Augusta Secondary School and Caritas College exhibited the art work completed by Senior Secondary students of 2023.                               PASS CARITAS It has been great to see our affiliated groups making the most of the gallery space. Wednesday Morning Craft Group Port Augusta Quilters hosted a sewing workshop at The Platform.                                                                                                    Port Augusta Writers have a book launch on December 7th. We have provided a new display area for busy gallery times. November was a busy sales month.... We had a visit from Stirling North students looking at galleries in preparation for their DOT exhibition. Don't forget to register your pieces for UNDISCOVERED.
