Visual Merchandising Workshop

Image
Morgan , Trudy and Georgie attended a workshop about visual marketing that was provided by Business Port Augusta and TAFE. There were lots of tips and tricks for creating a vibrant sales outlet and hands on opportunities to explore some of the concepts. It was interesting to see representatives from AALBG, Wadlata, Blue Mangrove, My Friend Billy, Mumma Lou's, Life Line  and others attending as well. It shows we really do need to be aware of the impression we leave with others.

A big thank you to Jenny for organising the Waterless Lithography workshop… everyone has mentioned how they thoroughly enjoyed it and were very impressed with Simone’s instructions. Some lovely outcomes as well. Here is a snapshot of the Google calendar for November, we are still needing a few volunteers for duty so let us know if you can help out… always like to have a couple of people there at any one time. We are currently reviewing opening hours and would like some feedback regarding changing to 10 to 1 Wednesday and Saturday and 10 to 3 Thursday and Friday. Quite a range of different artworks sold this month.

Painted On Wednesdays !!! Our Wednesday evening artists' group has done a mighty job of setting up their first exhibition. It was opened by Pam Morphett an original member of the Pichi Richi Painters from which this group is derived. There is a diverse range of art and craft works which indicates that more than just painting is the focus of the evening get togethers. Congratulations to everyone, we know it is not always easy to put yourself out there. The recent Solar Dyeing workshop was a success and people made many pieces that can be added to their collection of original fabric pieces. The next workshop is Waterless Lithography with Simone Tippett followed by Embroidery with Allison Lewis.
