Ending The Financial Year With a Blast!

Image
So June has come to an end and  we hold our AGM on 28th July so pop that date into your diaries!!! MEMBERSHIP FOR 2018-19 can be paid any time now please.  A big thank you and congratulations to Natalie Castree for organising the student exhibition "Carving Our Own Way -3".  A full house on Friday morning for the opening and many red dots in place.  Earlier in the year we had some discussions about how to give back to our artist community and decided to provide a bus for people to go and see  'Colours of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay' at the  Art Gallery of South Australia ... The bus trip to see the work by impressionist artists was a great success. We all learnt quite a bit more about a particular period of art history which saw the emergence of the modern era.  A big thank you to Anne Homes for organising this we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

It was a busy day on Saturday with the Felting Workshop coinciding with the opening. Felted bowls proved a popular topic and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Every one made two felted vessels and some made three. Thanks to Pam Stringer for sharing her expertise. We will once again participate in A Brush With Art during September. This is an opportunity for everyone to exhibit some new p
