Dealing with COVID-19 March 2020

Image
This month we have taken the unprecedented step of closing the gallery for an indefinite period of time. The management group has done a fantastic job of working through the issues as they unfolded. We acknowledge that some of our members will be dealing with increased pressures in the workforce or actually closing their small businesses and we would like to send our best wishes for the best possible outcome once this situation has passed. Workshops have been cancelled for the foreseeable future and Tammy has reimbursed  people for the mosaic workshop and the framing workshop. She will now reimburse the watercolour workshop as Jenny made contact with Mike and confirmed it will not go ahead.  He has suggested that  he will be in the area at some point after things have settled down and  will follow up, even providing an impromptu day of painting. We will not be able to meet face to face but people can use our FaceBook group Curdnatta Artists' Chat to let...

If you register at the gallery and place your name in the folder there could you email Georgie to let her know so that the Eventbrite page can be updated.  https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/curdnatta-art-group-17317936878 Please note the Illuminart light show will not go ahead due to not enough funding received. Our last workshop for the year was a sell out with Luke Thurgate challenging participants but also guiding them to exceed their expectations. Thanks to Sharron Jones for organising this and making the most of  Luke's visit which was to our advantage. The Port Augusta Music Club's junior musicians' concert brought some new faces into the gallery and demonstrated the versatility of our wonderful space. This event was well patronised by music club members. The gallery decorations are impressing visitors, the smallest ones making the biggest exclamations.
