Virtual Art

Well we closed our doors on 23/3/2020 not knowing what the immediate future might be and huddled in our homes or fronted daily in the workforce as essential workers and now there is a glimmer of light on the horizon suggesting things may return to some kind of normality.

Some of us took time to organise our homes and lives, others continued with projects or created new ones, taking the time to try new processes and ideas.

The photographers remained connected through our FB group www.facebook.com/groups/1043873959106225/      and had a go at a Zoom meeting.

The artist's FB group also linked us together. www.facebook.com/groups/curdnattaartistschat/

We took the time to promote artists on Facebook through individual Artist's Profiles. These are in the album  CURDNATTAGALLERY/photos

Some of us connected with artists all over the world through the internet and social media and in fact were enriched by the experience.

We even dabbled in virtual exhibitions.
This one is great viewed on your computer however your phone will take you to an app that will play it in standard view or virtual reality if you have a headset. Search for "Solitude". If using a tablet you will need to type Solitude in the search bar of the Artsteps page that opens.

LOOKING AHEAD

The management group will meet on Saturday May 30th ( groups of under 10 ) to plan for the eventual re-opening of the Platform Gallery in June.

Government guidelines will be followed as they are announced and we will consider the implications for our members and the use of the gallery space.

The floor has been oiled and looks great however there will be some work required to get the gallery back to its glamorous self.
