OPENING IN JULY

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped to get the gallery back to normal following our 3 month closure. It is looking great and we have 3 new exhibitions on display.

The Port Augusta Quilters
Solitude
Reinvention

Carlton Student exhibition will be on display from July 31st.

Groups are back to meeting and and we will welcome a new Wednesday Morning craft group in August. This group will open the gallery on Wednesday mornings.

Please check the COVID SAFE information and comply with requirements.
There is hand sanitiser and also wipes for people to use on often used areas.
Paper towel instead of tea towels etc.

People must sign in and provide an email or phone number. Can group leaders ensure this please.

We have received a grant from Gulf and Ranges optometrists as part of their 20/20 promotional campaign and will discuss how we may use this for a specific purpose at our AGM which we have deferred until September.

Our display at Beyond Bank has been changed.

We have the option to book an opening of the gallery included in our Google and Facebook pages and several people have taken advantage of this during June so even while we haven't been officially open we have still been making sales.

Check out our Google Business page here... https://g.page/r/Ccuyo8TjpqvBEBA

All members can take on the responsibility of promoting the gallery to family and friends by sharing this information as well as posters for events. We have 970 followers for our FB page but could easily top the 1000 if people shared it around and invited people to connect.

Tammy visited Stirling North Primary School to demonstrate spinning and was an instant hit with the young students.

The floor looks amazing at the moment but already we have SIGNIFICANT SCRATCHING.
We LOVE having everyone back but could people please wipe their shoes when coming in so that small stones are dislodged from fancy soles  and also people with WALKERS could you ensure they are moving smoothly and not scratching large areas of the floor. ( new age problems :-)))))

There are currently 2 exhibitions at Yarta Purtli that showcase the work of our artists so pop in and support The Arts in Port Augusta.

Pam Morphett will reconvene her Framing Workshop and will contact people to make a time that suits.
